Dr. Kimmy Kirscht's journey into optometry began at the age of nine when she became the first in her family to receive a pair of glasses. Her innate curiosity led her to the library, where she immersed herself in learning about eyes, sparking a lifelong fascination with science and health. This early interest blossomed into a passion for optometry, and by high school, Dr. Kirscht was already working as an optometric technician, deepening her understanding of ocular complexities.

Dr. Kirscht pursued her Bachelor of Science in Biology with Honors from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She then continued her education at the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry in San Antonio, where she earned her Doctorate of Optometry. During her academic career, she received the prestigious Clinical Excellence Award for her outstanding performance and served as a teaching assistant, mentoring other students in developing their clinical skills. Her externship training at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, further honed her expertise, leading to her graduation in 2017.

As a Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist licensed by the Texas Optometry Board, Dr. Kirscht is dedicated to the prevention and treatment of ocular and vision health. She is an active member of both the North Texas Optometric Society and the American Optometric Association, continually striving to stay at the forefront of her field.

At Delta Eye Care, Dr. Kirscht combines her extensive knowledge and compassionate care to provide exceptional vision services. As someone who also suffers from degenerative myopia (nearsightedness), she deeply understands the crucial role vision plays in overall health and quality of life. Dr. Kirscht is dedicated to educating patients and the community about myopia and working to prevent other children from following the same path.

Her commitment to educating her community about eye health and delivering personalized treatment makes her a trusted and respected optometrist.

When she's not caring for patients, Dr. Kirscht enjoys spending quality time with her husband, James, and their two beloved dogs, Mochi and Boba. Her dedication to both her profession and her family exemplifies the values that drive Delta Eye Care.

Dr. Rachel Mora is a friendly and energetic optometrist who was raised in Laredo, Texas, in a family with a passion for eye care. Both her father and grandfather were optometrists who cared deeply about preserving vision and preventing eye conditions such as myopia and glaucoma. Dr. Mora was first introduced to optometry at just 4 years old, when she and her twin brother would compete against each other at vision therapy activities with their dad. Her interest in optometry has only grown since.

After earning her bachelor’s degree in biology from Baylor University, Dr. Mora had the opportunity to work alongside Dr. Kirscht as an optometric technician, where she gained greater exposure to the medical side of optometry. During that time, she also discovered how much she enjoyed working one-on-one with patients, ultimately leading her to pursue her Doctor of Optometry degree at the UIW Rosenberg School of Optometry.

Throughout optometry school, Dr. Mora loved learning about the complexities of the human eye alongside classmates who shared her enthusiasm for the field. During her clinical training, she developed a particular interest in caring for contact lens and pediatric patients. She completed externships at a specialty contact lens clinic and a Veterans Affairs hospital before graduating at the top of her class with honors.

Dr. Mora brings that same curiosity and enthusiasm to patient care and enjoys getting to know the people behind the eyes she examines. She strives to make each visit comfortable, informative and personal while helping patients better understand and care for their vision.

Outside the office, Dr. Mora can usually be found somewhere outdoors with her senior Yorkie, Buddy. She also loves spending time at local coffee shops, cheering for the Oklahoma City Thunder, practicing film photography, making crafts and attempting yoga flows that are probably a little too advanced.

Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, James brings a unique blend of military precision and engineering expertise to Delta Eye Care. After graduating from Garland High School, James served over seven years in the US Army. His exemplary service included a tour in Afghanistan, where he was awarded the Air Medal for his achievements.

Following his military service, James pursued higher education at The University of Texas at Dallas, earning a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. His interest in optics further deepened after graduation when he began working as an optician. This longtime passion for eyewear, combined with a mission to educate patients, led him to co-found Delta Eye Care with his wife, Dr. Kimmy Kirscht.

As the office manager at Delta Eye Care, James oversees all operations, including the full-service optical department and an in-house finishing lab for lenses. He takes great pride in fitting patients with bold, unique frames and high-quality ophthalmic lenses, ensuring they receive the best possible vision care.

In his free time, James enjoys traveling and spending quality moments with his wife, Kimmy, and their two beloved dogs, Mochi and Boba. 

His diverse background and commitment to excellence make him an integral part of the Delta Eye Care team.

Born and raised in Allen, Texas, Chloe brings a warm, local touch to Delta Eye Care. A proud graduate of Allen High School, she went on to earn her Associate of Arts degree from Collin County Community College. As an optician since 2018, Chloe has developed a keen eye for matching patients with frames that make them look and feel their best.

Her personal style is minimalist, with occasional touches of pink and sparkle, reflecting her vibrant and cheerful personality. Chloe's passion for her work is evident in the care she provides. Always eager to expand her knowledge, Chloe is currently studying to become ABO certified, demonstrating her commitment to professional growth in the field of optometry.

Outside her role at Delta Eye Care, Chloe is a photographer with her own business. She cherishes quality time with friends and family and is an enthusiast of espresso, celebrating small milestones, and exploring coffee shops. Her hobbies also include sushi, traveling, thrifting, and all things creative. 

Whether she's helping you choose the perfect pair of glasses or capturing life's precious moments through her lens, Chloe's dedication and passion shine through in everything she does.
